How Pets Can Benefit From Essential Oils: DIY Recipes

Essential oils are safe if used correctly and can be beneficial when your pet is overly hyper or has an annoying flea and tick problem. Aromatic oils are also beneficial for adding to pet care products like shampoos, conditioners, body washes and sprays. We’ve put together a few of our favorite recipes that you can create on your own and for different purposes.

Calming Bed Spray

This spray can be made using a spray bottle of any size to spray on your pet’s bed to bring calm and ease of mind. Shake well and spray 1-2 times as needed. All you need to create this blend is:

  • Spray bottle
  • 300mL of purified water
  • 5 drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops of Frankincense essential oil

You can’t go wrong with Lavender for pets. Its aroma is calming for the active and excited pet. Adding a few drops of Frankincense works to quiet the mind. Shake well before use.
